Why The Pigeons Buhari Released Refused to Fly
The Presidency has disclosed why pigeons would not fly during the Armed Forces Remembrance Day function.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina said the pigeons couldn’t fly since they have been kept in a pen for quite a while.
As a characteristic of harmony, the president generally delivered white pigeons from a pen during the Armed Forces Remembrance Day function.
Be that as it may, during the 2021 version of the function, the pigeons wouldn’t fly after Buhari delivered them from their enclosure.
This drew negative responses from Nigerians who portrayed the advancement as a misfortune.
In any case, Adesina in an article named:
“Reflections from a wreath laying function”, stated: “When winged creatures and some other wandering creatures have been encompassed for some time, they get familiar with their new status as legitimate hostages.
In this manner, when you offer them opportunity, they first shy away, believing it’s unrealistic. It’s a characteristic wonder.
“President Buhari opened the confine that held the pigeons, about a score or something like that. One delayed, at that point flew, trailed by another.
“The others stalled a piece. And afterward, two, after three minutes, they all took to the sky. Nothing uncommon in the turn of events, you would think.”
